extra care housing

What is extra care housing?

Extra care housing provides residents with their own home in a communal scheme where 24 hour care and support services are available should they need them.

Just like our sheltered housing, Housing 21's extra care properties are in groups of self-contained apartments, built around communal areas which we call "courts".

Extra care housing supports you to live independently for as long as you possibly can. It gives you the security and privacy of a home of your own, a range of facilities on the premises and flexible care and support services.
