How to apply for extra care housing

Eligibility for each extra care court depends on the relevant council's allocation policy. However in general you must:

• be aged 55 or over
• have a need for supported or more appropriate housing
• have a need for personal care

These are very basic criteria for selecting residents and the situation of each applicant is carefully considered and decisions are made on the merits of each case.

Applications for our extra care housing are dealt with by the local council.s social services department.
