Accessing care and support
Housing 21 extra care housing
Housing 21 are also leading providers of extra care housing. Our extra care courts have a wide range of on-site care and support services, and special adaptations and additional design features for those who need a bit of extra help. All extra care courts will have a court manager and an on-site care team. However other facilities can vary in different extra care courts but may include hairdressers, chiropodist, restaurant, small shop or day centre.
The aim of our extra care courts is to enable older people to remain independent and in their own homes for longer by providing additional care and support services. If you feel you may need to move to extra care housing or would like more information please speak to your court manager. Please note nominations to extra care housing need to be received from the local authority and normally require an assessment.
