Graduate trainee programme expanded Following the success of its inaugural graduate trainee programme, Housing 21 is expanding its graduate intake. The leading provider of housing, care and support services for older people is currently advertising for three new graduate recruits to work across all areas of the business. Commenting on the successful training scheme Jackie Carter, Corporate Services Director for Housing 21 said: "Our first graduate trainee, James Salmon, joined us in October and has been undertaking various substantial projects, allowing him to develop his skills and knowledge. "We have decided to expand the scheme and the new recruits will be exposed to a wide range of business areas across the organisation, including IT, Policy and Research, Corporate Services, Social Care and Housing Management. They will be expected to work on, and in some cases lead, a wide range of corporate projects." During the three-year programme the individuals will gain a solid grounding in all business aspects and will spend their final year specialising in an area of their choice. The first graduate recruit, James Salmon said: "This is a great opportunity to join one of the largest specialist associations in England. I have been working on some interesting and challenging projects and have gained much job satisfaction as well as enhanced skills and knowledge." The new recruits, who will be based at Housing 21's offices in London, Cirencester and Beaconsfield, will enjoy real autonomy and find themselves working on projects which can make a genuine difference. They will receive support from a dedicated external mentor as well as further training. Published: 07-February-2008 |
