West Sussex care contract success
Housing 21 has been awarded two extra care service contracts in West Sussex.
Under the terms of the contracts, which will begin in October, Housing 21 will provide around 476 guaranteed hours of care each week with a further 200-300 hours as spot purchase.

Housing 21 staff do it again
For the second year running, two valued members of our staff have won awards at the prestigious Ceretas National Home Care Awards 2008.
Valerie Anderson, court manager of Winton Court extra care scheme in Gateshead, and Zoe Mackay, a care worker at Cherry Tree House in the Wirral were presented with their awards by television personality Roy Walker at the gala awards dinner in London on Saturday 31st May.

Graduate apprentices appointed
Housing 21 has announced the appointment of three new graduate recruits following the success of its inaugural graduate trainee programme.
David Freeman, Simon Wheatley and Sarah Ellison have joined the leading provider of housing, care and support services and will be working on projects covering all aspects of the business.

Housing 21 welcomes focus on older people’s housing as Corporation announces funding allocations

Contract signed for new apartments for older and disabled people in Kent
The contract has been signed for a £72million project to build stunning modern apartments for older and disabled people in Kent.
After 12 months of negotiations, Housing 21 has signed a deal with Better Homes Active Lives, a partnership between Kent County Council and ten of the 12 district and borough councils in the county to build and run a total of 340 apartments.
