About us

Day care services

Housing 21 has significant experience of providing social care services to clients in a day care setting throughout England. The optimum outcome for all our services is to enable service users to remain independent, safe and able to remain in their own home for as long as possible. Our expertise in this area includes:

• A contract to provide day care for people with dementia in Westminster. Through this contract we provide 15 day care places each weekday and 8 places per day at weekends. We are responsible for staffing, transport, catering and activities. At Westminster's recent joint review, the service was "highly commended".
• In partnership with Lewisham Council we built two replacement day care schemes. Sixty existing clients transferred from the original day care centres to the new units. Each building consists of a day care scheme and extra care housing accommodation. Housing 21 has been responsible for building the schemes and setting up and delivering day care, tenant services and home care.
• At one of our sheltered housing schemes for older people we also have the contract to provide day care for young physically disabled adults living locally.
