A proactive approach to diversity

Housing 21 is committed to equality and diversity in everything that we do.



This commitment is supported through our appointment in 2006 of our Diversity Advisor who is working to ensure that our diversity strategy, policy and practice assist us in meeting our organisational aims. These aims fall into a number of key areas:

  • Developing and delivering services that are increasingly accessible and responsive to our customers and communities
  • Listening to and maintaining a dialogue with our customers and communities and involving them in developing services that recognise and value diversity
  • Ensuring equality of opportunity in employment, and working towards achieving a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve
  • Opposing and challenging any form of discrimination
  • Developing detailed policies and procedures throughout Housing 21 that embrace our values of equality and diversity
  • Ensuring that our staff and our Board members remain committed to equality and diversity and apply these principles in our day to day work
